Both hold a pen safely. The choice usually comes down to presentation, interior protection and how the case will be sold.
A pen case looks like an accessory, but it carries a real function: protecting the device between uses and during shipping. PU and EVA solve that problem in different ways.
PU cases: presentation and colour range
PU cases have a harder, more structured shell and a surface that takes colour well. Ours is available in eleven standard colours — blue, green, black, red, purple, white, silver, gold, orange, pink and grey — which makes it straightforward to match an existing brand palette or to build a colour-coded range.
The structured shell and wide palette make PU the usual choice when the case will be seen by the buyer, included in a retail or starter kit, or used as a brand carrier.
EVA cases: lighter and more forgiving
EVA cases are moulded and lightweight, with internal protection shaped to hold the device in place. Ours is available in three standard colours: blue, green and black.
The wipe-clean surface and moulded interior suit cases that will be handled often or travel in a bag, and the lighter weight is an advantage when the case ships in volume.
Side by side
- Standard colours: PU eleven, EVA three.
- Shell: PU rigid and structured, EVA moulded and lighter.
- Interior: moulded retention in both formats, shaped to the device.
- MOQ: 20 pcs for both finishes.
- Customization: logo printing, scale marking and packaging design available on both.
How to decide
If the case is part of what the customer sees and its colour needs to match your brand, PU gives you the range. If the case is primarily practical protection that ships in volume, EVA usually does the job with less weight. Many partners carry both and split by channel.
